Referee Mentorship & Incentive Program

Referees are an crucial component to the provision of a fair and safe playing environment. Without referees we simply could not enjoy the 'beautiful game' as it is intended. For this reason the HSSL is proud to support the Squamish Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) and the SYSA Referee Mentorship & Incentive Program.

After the completion of a BC Soccer Entry Level Clinic or (Small Sided Course) and after refereeing 5 SYSA youth games (CR), the SYSA shall provide:

Full  Course Re-imbursment 

Regulation Referee Uniform

Referee Kit Including:

Sideline Flags

Backpack

Infraction Cards

Waterproof Notebook

Whistle

 BC Soccer Referee Clinic is coming to Squamish!

Entry Level Clinic &  Small Sided Course: Squamish August 26, 29, Sept 2, 9 2023

Challenge yourself and be an integral part of the beautiful game. A great way to earn money while actively participating in the sport you love!

SYSA will be hosting the BC Soccer Small Sided Clinic (Ages 12+) - which teaches participants the referee basics, afterwhich students will be provided support and mentorship through the SYSA mentorship program while refereeing game U12 and below!

BC Soccer will also be providing the Entry Level Clinic (ages 14+) for those who wish to take refereeing the next level and referee older aged games (U13 to Adult).
